I have been photographing professionally for 14 years now! People describe me as
patient and my artwork as pure, simple, and natural. I aim for authentic posing and natural
editing. Each baby is so unique, pure, and sweet. My hope is to capture that essence and
deliver beautiful art for your family to enjoy for a lifetime. I look forward to meeting you!

Timing
Newborn sessions take place in my Salem studio, M-F, almost always between 7-14 days of life. At this time, mom is starting to feel better and baby is still young enough to be sleepy and “curled up.” I pencil in the due dates of my clients who are expecting and, once the baby is born, we finalize our plans and set a time. My newborn sessions are often a bit longer than a typical portrait session, lasting about 2 hours. We follow the baby’s lead with lots of time for soothing, nursing, etc., keeping things relaxed.
Sleepy baby
A successful newborn session requires a content and sleepy baby. There are numerous ways we accomplish this! The studio will be very warm, and we will work to keep the baby’s tummy full. I will also have un-opened soothie pacifiers for your baby. It’s very important to allow me to use a pacifier for the session, as it is extremely helpful in posing your baby—even if your baby doesn’t normally or won’t be using a pacifier outside of the session.
waRDROBE STYLING
Not sure what to wear for your maternity session? I have lots of robes and dresses at the studio for your use. Schedule a time to come by the studio before your session to pick out what you'd like to wear or plan to arrive a little early to your maternity session. We'll go through the clothes and find something that looks beautiful on you!
Fresh48 Sessions
Fresh48 sessions aim to capture the emotions you feel during this impactful moment in your life. The session is are documentary in nature. No props or poses, just you and your brand new baby.
When I arrive, I open up all the blinds and tidy up a few items that may be out of place. Throughout the session I will be guiding you with simple prompts and will do my best to capture all images under an hour, ensuring that the session is as easy and stress free as possible.

A $300 session fee is collected at the time of booking and covers the time and date of your session, planning and consultation services, access to my studio wardrobe, and your online ordering appointment. The session fee is non-refundable. All digital files and products are purchased in addition to the session fee.
7-10 business days after your session I will email you to let you know your proofed gallery is ready for viewing. You'll select a day for your online ordering appointment. Choose a day that works for your family, when you have time to sit down and really enjoy looking through the photos. It's at this time you'll place your package order.
No need to pre-select a package. Once you've seen your proofed photos during your online ordering appointment you'll select one of the three portrait packages. Packages start at $900 and include digital files.

I offer a complimentary maternity session held at my studio for all mama's who have booked a newborn session. 10 digital files of your choice are included! Through this session I can get to know you a bit more and show you around the studio so you know what to expect for the newborn session.

Have a baby is exhilarating, exhausting, and often becomes a hazy memory as you navigate your new life. Fresh48 sessions aim to capture the emotions you feel during this amazing and impactful moment in your life, so this session is documentary in nature. No props or poses, just your family and new baby.
Before I arrive I'll ask you to turn the heat up in your room. When I arrive, I open up all the blinds and tidy up a few items that may be out of place. I usually begin with photos of the baby on their own in the bassinet and then head into parent and family photos. Throughout the session I will be guiding you with simple prompts and will do my best to capture all images with 30-45 minutes, ensuring that the session as as easy and stress free as possible.

Booking
Your session date will be canceled or give it to another client if the session fee is not received within one week after your portrait agreement is e-mailed to you. In the event that you need to reschedule the date, current pricing and my availability to provide services on such date will be reviewed. In the event of a cancellation, your session fee will be honored for one year.
Please send me an email and let me know you are ready to book your session. I'll then send over a link to pay the non-refundable session fee online and a link to sign the portrait agreement.
After you've taken care of those two items we'll set up your complimentary maternity session. All sessions take place on weekdays, Monday through Friday.

Envraving

Engraving uses a laser to etch the graphic into the material.
Engraving does not have a color and is going to look different on each album cover. Click here to see how engraving will look on each cover.
Debossing
+$120 (2 line max)
Debossing uses a stamp (or plate) to press the graphic into the material.
Colors available are: silver, gold, rose gold, black, white, and clear (no color or finish).
